Enterprise Network Deployment: 50,000 m² Warehouse Facility

A complete greenfield network across a dual-sided industrial facility with zero pre-existing infrastructure.

EU ENGINEERED INFRASTRUCTURE GDPR & NIS2 ALIGNED EU DATA RESIDENCY PCI-DSS PROJECT EXPERIENCE US / UK HOURS COVERAGE
Overview

A robust network deployment for a retail company across a large-scale, dual-sided warehouse facility. Because there was no pre-existing network in place, the scope covered the entire infrastructure design, hardware selection, and end-to-end implementation.

The Problem

What the client was facing

The client had zero network infrastructure across a 50,000 m² warehouse split into two physically separate operational sides.

Lack of Infrastructure

No structured cabling or switching infrastructure existed before the deployment.

Wireless Demands

The facility required dense, uninterrupted wireless coverage across an industrial floor with high potential for RF interference.

Strict Security Mandates

The client required strict isolation between operational IT traffic and surveillance video traffic, both logically and at the security perimeter.

Scalability Concerns

The network needed a scalable aggregation layer that could accommodate future growth without a complete redesign.

The Solution

What we built

The team designed and deployed a three-tier hierarchical network architecture.

Aggregation Layer

Four Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches in a redundant topology provide high-throughput Layer 2 and Layer 3 core switching over LACP port-channels, with VLAN segmentation enforced at the aggregation level.

Security Layer

Two Palo Alto Networks firewall clusters in high-availability active/passive mode. Cluster 1 handles DATA traffic across all IT and operational systems. Cluster 2 handles VIDEO traffic for surveillance and CCTV. This hard perimeter separation ensures a security event or policy change on one cluster has zero impact on the other domain.

Access Layer

45 access switches distributed evenly across both sides of the warehouse, with 300 access points positioned around the racking layout and RF propagation characteristics to eliminate dead zones across the industrial floor.
